Commedia Beauregard has taken six masterpieces (“The Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Tulp,” “Danae,” “Woman Bathing,” “Philosopher in Meditation,” “Aristotle Contemplates the Bust of Homer,” and “Carcass of Beef“) by Dutch master Rembrandt van Rijn and presented them to playwrights to translate them into works for the stage.
Six paintings. Six playwrights. Six new plays! This is Commedia Beauregard’s third series of short plays based on works of art.
To close the evening, Heidi Berg and I star opposite each other in “The Woman No One Ever Saw,” inspired by Rembrandt’s “Carcass of Beef” and written by Shanan Custer.
Don’t miss this perfect blend of literary, theatrical, visual art!
