NEW YEAR’S EVE

The Chinese New Year is upon us!

In our neighborhood in the Zhangdian district of Zibo, China, fireworks started at dusk and continued continuously throughout the night. The smell of gunpowder filled the air and sounded like the happiest war zone I’ve never been to.

Here are some pics from our doorstep.

NEW YEAR’S DAY

Of course the next morning we were left with this mess. Which someone will clean up. Eventually.

Happy New Year, everyone!

Great pics Michael, they remind me of the few Spring Festivals I’ve spend in China, once in Shanghai and another time in Lushan (Jiangxi province).

Thanks, Sean! I’m still learning how to use the camera. Your comment means a lot!

Are you still living in China?

Michael, yep I’m still living and working in Shenzhen, though I went back to the USA for the Spring Festival.
