Last night I joined Alchemy, a gym in Minneapolis, to continue working toward a better me. It’s 2018 and I have new goals. Plus, in February Athena and I are going to Mexico for a kickass wedding and I really just want to look good in a swimsuit.
You know, the basics.
This year one of my goals is to post a new blog every week. This is a haphazard attempt to stay on track.
Another one of my goals is to do one thing every day that scares me. Like joining a gym. (More on that first gym-experience in another post.)
In an effort to continue facing my fears I’m posting the video from the mental health in theater panel I participated in back in November 2017. Panelists included Rachel Petrie and Emily Gunyou Halaas and me. The event was organized by the Twin Cities Theater Bloggers.
Talking about mental health and mental illness isn’t easy. But not talking about it isn’t going to make things easier.
Like when you join a gym and the first workout kicks your ass… Not going the next day won’t make the workout easier. Right?
PS… When I have more time I plan on combing through the audio and sharing quotes from the other panelists that really jumped out at me. Until then, have a beautiful day!
