On Saturday, June 15, Rubber Chicken Theater’s Chicken Hat Plays, are taking the stage for one night of 8 world premieres.

WHAT ARE THE CHICKEN HAT PLAYS?

The night before showtime, Friday, community-sourced prompts are put into hats: a who, a what, and a where. A handful of writers randomly pull prompts and over the next 10 hours write a series of ten-minute scripts incorporating those prompts.

On Saturday morning scripts are distributed to the actors and directors for the first time.

It’s the most awesome explosion of collaboration. It’s kinda like theatre day camp…for adults.
