Note to self…
Never attend an open casting call ever again. While the thought of being “discovered” is not one that will ever go away, standing in line between a six year-old and a mother obviously forcing her child to audition is not worth my time or energy.
Any audition worth my time will require an appointment. General “cattle calls” are for the pyramid-scheme performers that only care about becoming a ‘diamond member;’ they do not concern themselves with the work or the craft or the process.
Their execution is mediocre at best and should be reserved for home movies and porn.
