HOLY CRAP! I’M IN #MNFRINGE!
LAST MINUTE ADDITION
On July 23rd — 10 days ago — I received an email from the Minnesota Fringe Festival stating that a show dropped out at the last minute and there was an open slot at Patrick’s Cabaret… The first producer to reply to the email would get the shot.
I responded, but was told that I was too late. HOWEVER, luck was on my side and the producer that obtained the slot wasn’t able to afford the producing fee. Then the Fringe emailed me and asked if I wanted it.
Hells, yeah! Way to move from 134 on the wait-list!
COME SEE “THUMBS UP!”

Dear Minnesota Friends, Family, Colleagues, Employers, Students and Enemies:
You’ve been curious about the show I’ve been working on for this past year… You’ve wanted to know what the show’s about… You’ve wanted to know all those things I’ve been writing and editing and chatting about. Well, now’s your chance!
“Thumbs Up!” has five performances, starting Sunday, August 5th, and closing on Saturday, August 11th. Please come show your support for me and the tale I’d like to tell you.
Don’t miss what DC Theatre Scene calls an “enjoyable experience from beginning to end, and certainly worth a view.”
Not convinced?
The show’s backstory grabbed the attention of the Washington Post!

The DC Metro Theater Arts gave the show 4.5 stars and said, “There’s so much good stuff you’ll hear during this play… You’ll also experience some brilliant acting along the way…”
Even Minnesota’s own playwright extraordinaire, Matthew A. Everett, gave a blurb on Twin Cities Daily Planet yesterday stating:
“The idea behind the odyssey, a man honoring his father’s wish to hitchhike cross-country and plant a little tree at the site where his parents first met, is lovely, and the journey itself kind of quirky.”
I’m so excited to be able to share this show with all of you! I sincerely hope to see you in the seats! Happy Fringing!
